Okay… back to the race!
I got my bib, poor as well as race tee the night before. Diego came with me since it was at a park. It was easy, no lines, friendly volunteers, in as well as out fast.
Then, I dropped Diego off at my friend’s home as well as got distracted chatting so I didn’t get house to eat dinner up until around 9pm. Not that huge a offer – I’ve had late nights before races before. plus – it wasn’t that late as well as I wasn’t drinking.

The Course: It was a new course!! I truly liked it.
The half marathon program was different from last year from the extremely start. I like that it started near a adorable buying plaza as well as across from a little lake. It’s a quite area.
It’s relatively flat outside of the underpasses as well as a great deal of the program is on a bike / pedestrian trail.
There was water, electrolytes as well as I gels on the race course. The volunteers were incredible as well as motivating as they handed out the much appreciated hydration. say thanks to you say thanks to you say thanks to you – it was extremely hot as well as HUMID.
I ran the race with Kristin Stuft mom as well as we took a few walking breaks with aid stations as well as up a few of the little hills. We both felt a bit less than 100% so we had already organized to stay together as well as catch up during the race. It was a difficult day weather-wise so we were trying to be conventional with effort as well as pace.
Post Race: The Lexus lace Up Races have the very best post-race parties. There are games for kids, a great deal of booths as well as FOOD TRUCKS. Every runner gets a free drink as well as free beer ticket with their race entry. (Well racers over 21 get the beer.)
And this ticket isn’t for half a banana… there were 4 different food trucks to select from!
